Pizza Oven Shipping
Pizza ovens are heavy, and the parts that make them work, such as baking stones, refractory brick, and conveyor belts, are the parts most likely to crack or bend in transit. We handle deck, conveyor, and wood-fired ovens with a plan built around that weight and those fragile surfaces.
Disconnect and prep
Have a licensed technician disconnect and cap gas and power. Let the oven cool completely and clean out ash, crumbs, and debris. Baking stones and loose deck pieces come out and are wrapped separately. On conveyor ovens, secure or remove the belt and take off any extension trays.
Crating and palletizing
Deck and conveyor ovens ship upright on a heavy skid, strapped, with doors secured and controls protected. Wood-fired and masonry ovens call for a custom crate or reinforced skid, because refractory brick can crack from vibration and impact if it is not braced.
Liftgate and inside delivery
Pizza ovens are among the heaviest pieces in a kitchen, and most exceed liftgate ratings once loaded. Plan on a dock or a forklift, and tell us about narrow doors, steps, and tight turns. We can use machinery skates and the right lifting gear to bring the oven inside and position it.
Insurance
Our providers carry cargo insurance, and we can provide a certificate of insurance for sites that require one. Share the oven model and its replacement value when you request a quote.
Domestic and international
Domestic pizza oven freight is scheduled nationwide to fit your opening date. For export, ovens are crated for ocean or air freight and our licensed customs broker handles the paperwork. Check voltage and gas type for the destination country first.
What to tell us before pickup
Pizza ovens vary more than most equipment. A countertop conveyor oven, a gas deck oven, and a masonry wood-fired dome have almost nothing in common when it comes to weight and handling. Tell us which type you have so we can plan the crating, the truck, and the people needed on site.
- Type of oven and its approximate weight
- Whether the deck stones, hearth, or dome are intact
- Whether a hood, stand, or accessories ship with it
- Access at pickup, including steps and doorway width
Frequently asked questions
- Can a wood-fired pizza oven be shipped?
- Yes, with a reinforced skid or custom crate that braces the masonry. Tell us the make and dimensions so we can plan the lift.
- Should I remove the baking stones?
- Yes. Remove and wrap stones separately so they are not cracked by the oven shifting in transit.
- Can you ship a conveyor oven overseas?
- Yes. We crate it for export and our licensed customs broker handles the paperwork. Confirm voltage and gas compatibility first.
