The job: a large restaurant equipment relocation
A restaurant client needed a large commercial kitchen relocated to a new location: cooking line, refrigeration, prep tables and the rest of the back-of-house equipment. The new kitchen had a hard opening date, and the kitchen installer needed every piece set in place early so final gas, electric, water and exhaust connections could be completed the same day.
Why we met the installer on site at 5 AM
Installers book their days tight. To keep the schedule, the installer asked us to meet on site at 5:00 AM. Our crew was loaded, in position and ready at the door before 5, so the installer could start connections as soon as the equipment was placed, with no waiting on freight. Early starts also mean quieter streets, open loading zones and no conflict with other trades or neighboring businesses.
How we planned the move
- Walked through the pickup and delivery sites ahead of time (doors, hallways, docks, elevators and tight turns)
- Built a load plan so equipment came off the truck in the order the installer needed it
- Protected stainless steel with blankets, corner guards and straps on air-ride, liftgate equipment
- Kept refrigeration upright and handled compressors with care
- Shared the kitchen layout so every unit went straight to its final spot
- Gave the client one coordinator from pickup to final placement
On site: set in place and handed off
Our white-glove crew uncrated, positioned and leveled each unit exactly where the kitchen plan called for it, then handed off to the installer for final utility connections. We deliver and set equipment in place; your licensed installers make the connections. Debris and packing materials left with us.
